InfIng Bridge Course Overview
For the module Informatik für Ingenieur*innen – Einführung und Überblick (InfIng) (Computer Science for Engineers – Introduction and Overview), the one-day bridge course provides the technical foundations for programming in C/C++. No prior programming experience is required! The course sets up the programming environment for the lecture and familiarizes you with the basic workflow for creating your own program.
The goal is to install the programming environment on your own laptop – if you have one – and to write your first program.
Prerequisites
Programming requires a lot of practice, and the number of computer pool workstations at TUHH is limited. Therefore, please bring your own laptop if possible, so that you can also program at home. On the day of the bridge course, the rooms will be full and network capacity will be limited. Please make sure that your laptop is charged and connected to the eduroam Wi-Fi. macOS users should install the Command Line Tools in advance (see the macOS guide), as the download takes some time.
iOS and Android devices (smartphones and tablets) cannot be used for programming.
